1. The service
Referencepas is operated by Grønlund Investments EMV, CVR 42292028. The service lets candidates collect standardised references from former managers and share them with companies. The service is free for candidates and referees.
2. Who can use Referencepas
You must be at least 13 years old to create a profile as a job seeker. If you are under 18, we recommend that a parent knows you are using Referencepas. Referees and users of company accounts must be at least 18 years old.
3. The candidate's responsibility
You may only create and use a passport for yourself – unless you have parental responsibility for a minor or are the person's guardian and act on their behalf. You may only request references from people who have been your manager or worked closely with you. It is forbidden to fill in a reference on someone else's behalf – also for parents and guardians – to use false email addresses or to give incorrect information about names, roles and periods.
4. The referee's responsibility
You must answer truthfully and to the best of your belief. Decline the request if you do not know the candidate from the stated role. You must confirm with your own work email or your own MitID Erhverv and must not pretend to be someone else.
5. Incorrect and misleading information
Everyone using Referencepas must give true information. This applies, for example, to names, work emails, roles, periods and answers in references. If we suspect fraud, we may mark the references as uncertain to the companies that have access and temporarily close access while we investigate. If confirmed, we delete the affected references and exclude the person from Referencepas permanently – without refunding any payments. Serious fraud, such as forgery or identity theft, may be reported to the police.
6. Use by companies
Reports may only be used to assess the candidate in a specific recruitment. It is not allowed to copy, store or export reports. A recruitment agency may share a report with its client in the same recruitment – but only through Referencepas' sharing feature, so the candidate can see who has access. Access expires after 6 months or when the candidate withdraws consent.
7. Payment
Prices are excl. VAT. Single reports are paid when unlocked. Subscriptions are paid monthly or annually in advance and renew automatically. They can be cancelled at any time to the end of the current billing period. Paid periods are not refunded, and unused reports do not roll over to the next period.
8. Limitation of liability
References express the referee's assessment. Referencepas confirms the referee's identity via work email or MitID Erhverv and flags suspicious answers, but does not guarantee that the content is correct. The hiring decision is always the company's own. Referencepas is not liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit, and our total liability to a company cannot exceed the amount the company has paid in the last 12 months.

How we process data about candidates, referees and companies is described in our privacy policy.
10. Termination and deletion
You can delete your account at any time. If a candidate deletes their passport, all companies' access is closed immediately. We may close an account that is used in breach of the terms.
11. Changes
We may change the terms. You will be notified of significant changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you continue to use Referencepas after that, the new terms apply.
12. Governing law and disputes
The terms are governed by Danish law. Always contact us first – most questions can be solved quickly. If we cannot agree, disputes between Referencepas and a company are settled at Referencepas' home venue. If you are a consumer, you can complain to Nævnenes Hus (the Danish complaints board), and you can always bring a case before your own court.
